Well, I wouldn't call that "making an excuse." It's just not everyone's thing. Personally, I also don't want to have to paint all the windows every few years. My back wouldn't handle that. :( I would then have to be willing to pay someone for it. Those who want to, have the option of choosing wooden windows. Of course, wood is the nicer and more grateful building material. But if there were no different tastes, we would all have wooden windows and the question wouldn't even arise.

I want to put it this way: wooden windows are much more durable in terms of function and longevity than plastic windows, because these also yellow after a certain time, and depending on how much they are exposed to sunlight, they also become cracked and brittle. With proper care, you can have wooden windows for 50 years or more, but I have my doubts about plastic windows.

Hm... if I have a prefabricated house built and it is ultra-modern, I don't want to have wooden windows. Visually, that cancels out the effect again... It's also a matter of taste, isn't it? Setting aside the quality question. But wooden windows don't fit every house, and neither does plastic.

Which material is suitable for windows is a matter of taste. What I don't like are aluminum windows. I love wooden windows and would have them installed again and again. They have such a warmth to them, and when the furniture is arranged accordingly, I feel comfortable.

The perfect window does not exist. The regions also play a big role here. Here, wooden windows are usually installed, and that fits well with the facade and the landscape.

For me, the region is also decisive, but also the facade. In a wooden house, only wooden windows fit, so only these are an option. I think wood is a good building material.
