Hello Roger,

Dirk gave the right tip: dismantle, clean, and then reinstall; anything else is botched. I also don’t think you need to dismantle or remove that much. Otherwise, in the worst case, no box could be swapped out easily.

Alternatively, integrate the roller shutter box into the facade – that might be the most cost-effective solution. Talk to your architect – even if you think you made the wrong choice, conversations still offer the best approaches.

Rhenish greetings

Since when is it unusual for roller shutters to be installed before the exterior plaster? That's completely normal?! At least from what you see around here. @TE: You should actually have access to the roller shutter motor and/or the wiring! I would definitely clarify that.

These are usually top-mounted roller shutters (window and shutter box form one element); the boxes "disappear" under the facade and cannot be seen from the outside.

Hello everyone,

We deliberately wanted these front-mounted roller shutters in a different color - I actually think that's quite good - visually speaking. (Just like my outdoor fireplace). No one will understand that again

You can certainly get to the motor, but the cable is routed inside to a terminal box and clamped there. If I ever have to get to it, I’ll open it with a cutter and close it again afterward. Until the next painting, one of x rooms just won’t look as nice. But doing that in every room in a new building? No way! Whether the cable can possibly also be dismantled on the motor side, I’ll only know after the warranty period expires – I won’t touch it before that.

Can you give me a reference to an instruction / recommendation / standard that prescribes / recommends the described sequence?

Regards
Roger

Hello everyone,
it continues. The architect says everything is agreed upon, the plasterer says the opposite and thinks the architect is crazy ...
How do I get a building expert who can assess this?
Regards
Roger
