Good day everyone,
we are currently building a detached single-family house without a basement / Kfw 70 / ventilation system / gas + solar. Wall construction: plaster / aerated concrete 17.5 cm / insulation 12 cm / air layer 2 cm / clinker 11.5 cm
I have observed that on many houses the perimeter strips made of XPS are completely glued around the window opening before the insulation is mounted over large areas. (Photo neighbor's house)
In our house, the perimeter strips are currently only glued on the left and right sides of the windows, although the cladding has already been done well above the window height. The cutout of the roller shutter box was also not glued with XPS.
I will discuss this with our construction company next week, but I would like to gain a little information beforehand.
Is there a regulation that the entire window opening must be glued?
Are there roller shutter boxes that come with the XPS setup?
Regards Ingo
