I see it the same way - but I asked here because I've also seen constructions with angles in ETICS (which is a different matter altogether).

Would you therefore recommend Poroton builders to choose a different brick in the reveal area?

Why, if a smooth plaster can create a suitable substrate?

It is simply an additional work step that is not (to that extent) necessary with smooth masonry.
I would not complicate this with a mixture of additional building materials.
But I am not a civil engineer.

So I have news regarding the reveal.... Everything apparently went well. There was an inspection and it was quite decent in a positive sense. The windows have now been installed.

It's hard to see on the phone, but isn't the outer sealing layer still missing? No foil visible, only foam.

That's true! I just consulted with my installer and he said that a sealing tape on the inside is sufficient and proper foaming on the outside. The reason is that the remaining moisture can escape between the foam and the sealing tape (inside) and does not remain trapped.

That's why there are mWn window connection tapes for interior and exterior. Exterior ones are then more diffusion-open than interior ones

But that doesn't mean it can't be done that way; I can't judge that
