No, I meant it differently: there was no controlled residential ventilation system, that's why it got so stuffy.

It's once again a discussion that goes around in circles.

There are simply people who like to keep the car windows slightly open all year round while driving (Fensterfalzlüftung), and then there are those who use automatic climate control (Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung) or an air conditioning system (dez. Lüfter) for that.

P.S.: I no longer want to miss my Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung.
