Hello everyone,

so far in our construction description, the window handles are normally in plastic design. And the stainless steel handles naturally look much better.

Is it possible with modern windows to simply remove the handles and retrofit new stainless steel handles? It shouldn’t be a problem, since you can also install handles with locks or something like that on patio doors.

Is there a catch to this? It feels like it would be cheaper that way, right?

Can be done without any problems.

Why should it be cheaper to first pay for plastic handles for all windows and then additionally for stainless steel? I mean, for us it wasn’t that much more expensive...

Yes, just mention it during the sampling.

Fittings, locking mechanisms, handles: all these are generally supplier parts for windows that the profile manufacturer/processor/assembler does not produce themselves. However, there is quite a bit of pricing involved, so the customer without special requests simply gets the "standard frame." Of course, it is modular and standardized, and therefore generally easy to replace; basically also obtainable elsewhere, but I would still recommend getting the upgrade from the window supplier as a single source.
