City villa - white - mullioned windows: I consider that a "magic triangle" in terms of taste, i.e. you can only ever realize two points of it at the same time.
However, I consider anthracite gray windows with muntins in the single-family house or residential house sector to be absolutely borderline. Someone would have failed in their profession if that were implemented for the client.
Prisoners have bars on their windows, and dark muntins will look like that next to a white wall.
