... especially if the window already wouldn’t open before, your general contractor’s explanation is more than ridiculous.

All right, thank you very much! Then I am not alone with my opinion!

Hi, I also can’t imagine any object that would cause such damage. But aside from that, have you already accepted the house? Or are you doing individual contracting? If general contractor and not yet accepted: What exactly are you supposed to do with it? It’s simply not your problem. Regards, Andreas

No, we are building with GU, acceptance has not yet taken place, but the construction manager is pushing for an early acceptance since his trades are almost completed and we are only doing our own work. Do the known defects have to be fixed at the acceptance? Or do they just make a defect report?

Hello,

Easy, easy! The site manager should first complete his trades COMPLETELY, and then he can get back to arrange an acceptance. No accepting half-finished work! And write EVERYTHING, really absolutely EVERYTHING as defects to be fixed in the protocol. No matter how petty and stupid it seems to you. And no matter how often the site manager says, "yes, of course we'll still do that..., we don't need to write that down."

Regards,

Andreas
