You would need LAN at that spot, but basically the price would be the same. I might take a look at the classifieds.

It needs power, night vision, data connection, and weather protection. Additionally, possibly software for motion detection.
Therefore, I would say that very few IP cams are suitable for this purpose.

We have 2 simple trail cameras similar to Aldi with battery, SD card, which we place here and there. To view the pictures you just have to go to the device and look at the small screen or read out the SD card. The pictures and videos are flawless.

So... neighbor and grandpa from next door can DEFINITELY be ruled out. I've been desperately waiting for snow anyway, but the next few days don’t look promising. I think I'll try an inexpensive trail camera then. The nuts were just gone again, but the squirrel is probably still sleeping.
