Who has ever laid parquet themselves?

I don't really know a rule of thumb, I would just always make sure that you can simply "click" it together and don’t have to glue it extensively, because that is a mess. I would also always prefer laminate over parquet. I am also cheaper.

yes, I have already thought about that too. I also think that I might take laminate. It is really cheaper and still looks good and elegant.

That's exactly how I see it too. I think laminate is much better.

I have already installed parquet flooring myself! Admittedly, it’s not exactly an easy job! But it can be done alone, without professional workers. I guess it also depends on your experience with craftsmanship! ;) Laminate is actually cheaper, but it certainly doesn't last as long as original parquet flooring! So I would think about it again! I guess it also depends on how long the floor is supposed to last...

So our laminate floor has already endured a lot, and it still looks great! I think it’s a money issue, because parquet flooring is much more expensive, right?!
