Who has ever laid parquet themselves?

how difficult and time-consuming is it actually to lay parquet flooring, I have never done anything like this before. Or does it really make sense to hire a professional?

I have heard that there are more or less easy systems for connecting there. I would get advice at the hardware store on which parquet you can really lay yourself easily and which not.

I had a sh**ty system. Totally annoying to install, after 8 hours I gave up and called an overpriced professional. I don’t even remember what the system is called. I only remember that the man in the hardware store said, "That's no problem for you to install the parquet"... great, I noticed that.

Yeah yeah, the knowledgeable hardware store staff. Well, we don't want to badmouth everyone, but it can definitely happen that you get advice that's not so good. I usually shop at specialist stores because I know I'll get really good advice there.

*lol* - yeah our hardware store staff. They once told me that wall tiles are no problem, I think I wasted 300€ and spent an entire weekend on it
