We have to decide whether to install a "normal" Velux roof window that you can turn, or a top-hinged pivot window. The latter is significantly more expensive and we need two of them. For ventilation or for the view, it is certainly the better option. But apart from the price: Maybe I’m having a mental block, but such top-hinged pivot windows might actually invite young children to climb on the roof more easily, right? Or how can such roof windows be secured?
