The rooms are on the front side of the house with two floor-to-ceiling windows each, not on the gable side. Can the ceiling be lowered afterwards? with wooden panels or something?

In the children's rooms, we are actually not that worried because we want to build a loft out of wood for the children's bed. More in the hallway... is there a risk of a "hall"

In the hallway, I found it airy And yes, you can hang a ceiling. So, do you have the gables on the sides of the house and the rooms are next to each other? Then you would put the bunk beds against the short windowless wall? The doors would be on the high wall? That would have a better effect than with us ex...

With us it was 22, now in the living room it is 26. Regarding the well-thought-out effect, I would say: yes, go ahead. If necessary or later, you can take it down. Maybe I would put crossbars now in your place, at least in the children's rooms, to have a visual boundary?

You have a knee wall of almost 2.40m. Combined with 28 degrees pitch, that results in almost 4.50m at the ridge beam with your dimensions, if I have seen it correctly. That would be way too much for me. We have a 1.90m knee wall, 20 degrees pitch, and with our house width that gives us a ridge height on the upper floor of 3.70m. That is – with correspondingly spacious rooms – very cozy and definitely high enough. In your case, I would probably also lower the ceiling at 22 degrees pitch. Otherwise, it would be too high for me. But that also works very well afterwards, so you can basically try it out.

If a gallery is planned anyway, would it possibly be feasible to allocate the suspended space above the hallway to the children's rooms?
