Which material should be used for a podium to be tiled?

Hello everyone,

As part of our renovation, the kitchen is also being completely rebuilt.
On one side, a small seating area is to be created, where you then sit on the "back side" of the countertop and basically use it as a kitchen table.

Now, a typical working surface (for us 93 cm above the finished floor level) is of course somewhat higher than a normal table height. This height difference is compensated by a platform that will be located under the seating area.
The dimensions of the outer edges of the platform will be 1970 * 494 * 584 * 1550 * 874 mm.
The height is planned at 195 mm.

The platform was planned by the kitchen studio as part of the kitchen planning, but we will build it ourselves and then have it tiled by the tiler with the same tiles as the rest of the kitchen floor.
My idea was to construct the platform from a wooden beam structure to provide appropriate stability and then to clad it with MDF boards, which will be tiled.
Now I have some concerns that this construction may not be stable enough (with movements I think there is a risk that tiles might crack or similar) or (over time?) develop noises when someone steps on it (creaking e.g.)!
Therefore, I would be very happy if you could share tips or even experiences on what would be advisable or how you have solved similar constructions!

Thank you in advance for your effort(s) and have a nice weekend!

Regards

Upload a drawing.

With 6 measurements (?), it is not clear what is meant.

Upon second reading:
Do I understand correctly that you want to place a trip hazard on the floor?

I would lower the countertop.

If the platform is in the correct position, it is not a tripping hazard, but a good solution if you absolutely want regular-height chairs/bench. There are also intermediate chairs with about 63 cm seat height (about 15 cm higher than normal chairs, but definitely NOT bar stools).

Even though it is an option, from a neutral perspective, it remains a tripping hazard because you are building a step on an otherwise flat floor. Sitting on the platform means you have to be careful somewhere further back not to fall off.

No, it does not automatically mean that, that's why I spoke about the position of the podium ;).
