Above all, the American Siri first communicates with the Bulgarian Shelly server before the commands go back into the home WLAN to switch the lamp. Definitely worldly and very extroverted.

For the Hue lamps from Philips, there are also special flush-mounted actuators that allow both the regular light switch and the control via the Bridge to work in parallel. For those who do not want to be listened to by any technical devices 24/7 and also not by those who analyze the voice data. There are stories about that.

Shelly also works purely locally, right?

You have to be quite skilled in programming to get that running purely locally... and Siri, Alexa, Gemini, etc. You can't get those locally at all because they don't work without the database in the cloud.

The 4th generation of the Shellys can be ordered since this week. I would, as I already wrote, simply use these new Shellys, so the Hue lights are always controllable via the wall switches. However, the Dimmer gen4 is not yet available. The Shelly-Cloud is nice and works, but it also works without an internet connection.
