Hello,
We want to completely renovate the ground floor apartment in a two-family house including the converted attic apartment.
Currently, heating is done with oil. The warm air is distributed into the rooms through air ducts. Additionally, an electric heater is used. The hot water is generated by instantaneous water heaters.
The initial idea is to install a fireplace instead of the oil burner, which would also heat the other rooms via the air ducts. Additionally, electric underfloor heating in each room (floor tiles/laminate).
This is the first idea. However, I am looking for a competent advisor who can inform me about the possible heating systems, showing pros and cons, keeping the budget in mind, and answering all my questions regarding this. For example, whether laminate is recommended for underfloor heating, etc. Under which keywords should I search on the internet or locally in our city for a specialist?
Heating engineer or electrician or something like that - they all only see this from their own field, and in my opinion, no one can show me different concepts and discuss them with me.
Thank you very much for your answers.
