Which filling and adhesive material is suitable for interior window sills made of stone/marble?

Thanks again for the tip. Does it still bleed through from 2cm below to the top? (I was even wondering whether I should use lime-cement mortar, because probably a lot accumulates there)

That can bleed through and then create unsightly edges. But you can apply a layer of mortar or plaster at the bottom, then fill it with natural stone adhesive and spacer pads. Whether that is professional, I don't know, but it works.

Great, thanks. I actually wanted to order the window sills from the stonemason today. I wanted to google window sills with an overhang and look at some examples. Then I "unfortunately" came across the Helopal Linea with shadow joint, which somehow look nice and make the decision difficult for me. With normal window sills with an overhang, after 5-10 years one might get the idea to replaster certain walls or something similar. That wouldn’t be possible with flush window sills anymore.
