Which children's room paint? Has anyone among you used cork?

Hello,

I would definitely not choose laminate because it can get very loud when children play on it and might drop something.
Carpet would be quieter, but it would have to be kept really clean all the time.
I would still be interested to know why there is such an aversion to carpet here?

Best regards, Gerda

So I also believe that you are making a very good decision with cork. We have also removed all carpets in our place because they are simply too dirty and you can never really get them 100 percent clean.

I wouldn't choose cork, because cork is a soft material, especially in children's rooms where kids sometimes drop things, building blocks, a metal car, etc., no, better here is laminate or carpet. The carpet can get dirty, but you can quickly roll it up and clean it.

Hello,

This is my first post and I would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome all board members.
For the children's room, almost all floor coverings can actually be recommended (except for ceramic tiles). Cork is practical and relatively safe for children. Laminate flooring was presented here as running. However, everything depends on which laminate flooring you buy. On the market, there are already ones that are not equipped with an adhesive layer. These are really quiet on the floor. However, I would personally install an elastic floor covering, like linoleum, in the children's room. It is quiet, warm, and easy to clean.

Regards
Michal

Absolutely no carpet, and this already looks very worn after some time. Cleaning it also involves a lot of effort. My favorite is cork or laminate.

Cork is certainly also a good solution. But please remember that cork lives just like wood. The big disadvantage of cork is that the beautiful decors (textured and possibly colored) cannot be renovated (sanded down and freshly lacquered). This is only possible with ugly cork granules.
