Hello everyone,

we are shortly before our window/shutter and windowsill company completes the final work. On the ground floor, we have installed exclusively RC2N windows and an RC2N lift-and-slide door. So, for example, many mushroom cams per window, lockable handles, etc. One of the still open points is the handover of the certificates regarding these RC2N services.

My question: Which certificates, confirmations, issued by whom and with which content must I now request from the company?

[*]Plaques attached by the manufacturer to the RC2N windows/doors (inside) confirming an RC2N version?

[*]Manufacturer certificate per window/door? And what must/should be included (e.g., type of fittings, number of mushroom cams, etc.)?
[*]Certificate or confirmation from the installing company that the installation was done according to RC2N or manufacturer installation instructions (appropriate backing, if applicable metal brackets, if applicable heavy-duty anchors, etc.)? Again for each affected window?

[*]From the installing company that they are really capable. What must be stated there and who is allowed to issue this? For example, IFT Rosenheim?

Are there possibly templates or examples for these certificates? Do, for example, (home contents) insurances have requirements for this?

Thanks for the information!

To prove that the windows actually have an RC2N quality and were installed according to the corresponding regulations.

In the event of a break-in, you do not need proof for the police whether your windows were installed according to any regulations.
A break-in through a window/door of an apartment that consists only of a simple lock or single glazing is also considered a serious burglary within the meaning of §244 StGB.

The insurance company also makes no distinction. An important piece of information for the insurance may be that all locking mechanisms you have are used. However, I am not from the insurance industry; this conclusion is based on my experience in police work.

Hello,

Certificates are only available from RC2; formerly WK II.

For you, the proof from the window manufacturer that your windows on the ground floor correspond to class RC2N is sufficient. Yvonne has described everything else to you.

Best regards from the Rhineland
