Hello everyone,
we have a draft designed by an architect, which is supposed to be realized by a planning office. The draft has been "corrected" for the building application. One of the biggest changes is the roof construction. The site manager thinks it needs to be changed, but we cannot understand why and would like to know your opinion on this.
The architect has designed a green flat roof with slope insulation, which does without a parapet. The site manager says that a lateral edge must be created for the green roof, it doesn't matter what it looks like, but it will be equally high.
In the following graphic, the site manager's draft is on the right and on the left you can see how our architect imagined it.

Is there anything against the architect's design, or why does the planning office insist on building a parapet?
For your information: a photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof.
Thank you for your help,
CK
