What remains to you as a reserve?

Hello,

since we - like many others - are building, financing is up next for us.
Brief key data:

Financing requirement: €310,000
Equity capital (liquid): €200,000
Land (equity capital): €130,000

So far, we have been saving €2,500 per month. It is planned to repay the loan with €1,500/month (15-year full repayment including special repayments).
That would leave €1,000 as reserves - what remains for you as reserves besides the loan installment (we would be very interested!)?

The €1,000 would be pure reserves, operating costs are separate.

Thank you.

Hello,

How much are you currently paying in rent + additional costs, which will also disappear when you move into ownership.

I see a great starting point here. You rather have a luxury problem :)

Hello Pfandflasche,

I believe that you are in a very good position compared to the majority of home builders.

Very few have > 50% equity, pay down their loans as quickly as you do, and can still regularly buy a small new car every year from their savings.

And even if I change the AND combination of the three positions into an OR, it will still be the clear minority of home builders.

In this respect, you are doing very well. And now my counter-question: Why is it important to know this? This question probably causes nothing more than envy and really doesn't help you much.

You are actually in an extremely good starting position. And the question of reserves is also, once again, a matter of personal attitude. With €1000 in pure reserves, you certainly have significantly more than the majority of homeowners. Whether one should ultimately put part of it into repayment is certainly something that can be debated excellently. We also tend to belong to the faction "better a little more saved up than too little." In the end, the same question stands for me as for toxicmolotow.

... I am aware that we are financially well off. An assessment of the situation was not the question either!

I was rather thinking of a collective thread. Maybe it clarifies some questions for one or the other.

I will not comment on the matter of envy.

If someone wants to post, they can do so - otherwise not.
