As I said: No definitive statement can be made about the image quality, although I still don't find oak so unlikely. The color can definitely be achieved somehow.

Definitely not oak.

It is rather a tropical wood (hardly any growth rings visible), Merbau!

Could also be teak or mahogany. I think tropical wood is correct.

Too figured and I see the typical brown spots of cherry.

I am also for cherry. Our carpenter-made furniture and the parquet look exactly the same :-)

And in the end, it's click laminate and the owner didn't dare to say that ... :-)
