What is this cable used for (telephone / fiber optic ...)?

Hello! We have bought an existing property (built in 1972) near Hamburg. There has been a working telephone line in the house for years. Now we have discovered another cable with a telephone symbol in front of the house? A second telephone cable to/into the house doesn’t make sense, does it? Do you know what kind of cable the one shown in the pictures is? It seems to lead from the street to the house. Best regards

I would bet on Telekom Last Mile. So, a telephone connection (classic). Fiber optic looks different (from what I have seen so far).

the cable says 1KX, a quick Google search tells you that it is a coax cable for cable TV.
