What is the best way to build up the floor?

Would also recommend installing a vapor barrier on the floor slab. As far as I remember, this was only done in the basement in our case. On the ground floor and upper floor, a foil may need to be placed on the screed, but it depends on whether it's a wooden floor, tile, etc. The manufacturer of the floor will advise you on that.

We are building without a basement and have exactly this mentioned "Katja Sprint" vapor barrier on the raw floor. We were told that this vapor barrier is supposed to prevent rising residual moisture from the concrete floor slab.

We are building with a basement. Throughout the entire basement, we have "Katja Sprint." On the ground floor, we also have two basement-free extensions, so floor slabs, and the foil is also laid there. According to the site manager, it is applied everywhere on the very lowest floor to prevent rising moisture (and damage to the later floor covering).
