We will soon make some changes to our living area. I recently read about clay paints. They are supposed to improve the room climate and are especially suitable for allergy sufferers. Has anyone perhaps already used clay paints in living rooms? Are they really that good?
Best regards, gatita

Hello gatita,
so we used clay paints in the entrance area and were surprised at how good they are. Since we were initially doubtful whether such paints actually achieve results as good as conventional ones, we thought to try them out first in the entrance area. Additionally, clay paint is said to regulate indoor humidity, have antistatic effects, and also remove pollutants from the indoor air. Our entrance area looks great anyway, and next up is our living room. We are enthusiastic about the clay paints.

Hello weniger, exactly because of these great qualities, we found the clay paints interesting for us as well. But there can always be a lot of positive things written on a package. It is always better to get confirmation from people who have already tried it and were able to gather their own experiences. Then it is easier to make a decision, which after all is meant to be permanent or at least for a longer period of time. Thank you for your contribution.

What are clay paints?

Hello,

Clay paints? What is that? I have really never heard this term in my life. Is there really clay in it? I would be happy if you could tell me what it is.

Best regards,
sennor

I have never heard of that either. But I find the idea interesting! In hot regions, there are also indigenous peoples who paint their huts with clay to keep out the heat. Conversely, this paint must also insulate. Moreover, it should be 100% environmentally friendly. I would now just be interested to know what shades are available. Only natural earth tones or also colors like blue and green?
