What do you think about clay paints?

So a friend of mine also used clay paints and to my surprise they really look great! I honestly wouldn't have thought that 'clay paints' look good, but they do! Honestly, I don't know if they are particularly suitable for allergy sufferers, you should ask at the hardware store!!
