Hello everyone,

my fiancé and I are trying to get a plot of land in a new development area in a municipality where my fiancé already grew up. We have already been put on a list of interested parties by the municipality and are now waiting for the start of the land allocation. The municipality told us that they are currently still in “Ankaufverhandlungen.” Can someone tell me what that is? I am also very interested in reading about other experiences regarding purchasing land from a municipality (how did it go for you? Was it difficult to get a plot? Would you do it again?...).

Best regards
Kathi

By the way, I am enthusiastic about the forum. Because of it, I have already come across some information!

The municipality only designates the building area once they own all the plots.

That can take years until construction begins.
You should listen to what the grapevine says about how far along it is.

It's frustrating for builders, understandable from the municipality's perspective.
For example, in our area, there are more developed building sites on paper than people wanting to build. In reality, there are zero building plots for sale.

So in my opinion the land previously belonged to a farmer from whom the community has already purchased the land. Therefore I wonder what negotiations there still are. Well, I suppose one just has to ask the community....

Since the community is near larger cities, the demand will be very high. However, we have time, we are not in a hurry yet, so it can still take a while

If she has already bought it, then it is about the development plan etc. Only purchase negotiations do not sound like that

Do you already have a plot secured? How was it allocated (points system, bidding process)?

If the municipality is in purchase negotiations, then your opinion or the rumor about the sale is simply wrong. Quite simple. Basically, it doesn't matter. Just wait is the order of the day. I would call monthly and inquire. let your other thread be deleted. It is stated in the terms and conditions you accepted that two threads on one topic are prohibited.
