Weishaupt (Split) or Kermi (Monoblock)

What Kermi costs compared to Zehnder I don't know. So far it has not been offered. My heating engineer only had the idea to bug the field service employee to see if something can be done price-wise if both devices are taken from Kermi. The complete underfloor heating is also done by Kermi. So the pipes etc. Hopefully something can still be done, because we would really like to have the Kermi. Alone because of the noise level. We have some concern that the split will be loud.

How is that? The split is supposed to be relatively loud, but does that only affect the outdoor unit, or also the indoor unit?

We come from the FFM area. More precisely north of Hanau.

Hi, what is the current status today regarding the Kermi X-Change Monoblock, we will soon be placing the order for the new building and wanted to know if the system is causing any problems or if the efficiency is good.

I don’t live far from the Kermi headquarters and the IDM would have almost cost me exactly the same as Kermi. Nothing else was an option for me either, since I value quality and also a bit of optics. I also looked at the heat pump directly at the Kermi factory.
Why should the line freeze in winter? We have a district heating pipe installed here and the connections are insulated again and then this aluminum cover is pushed over it. Actually, nothing should freeze there. I also bought the X-Center Base and the Kermi switching actuators/room thermostats for it. Also the Kermi central ventilation system, so that I have everything in one system.

How maintenance-intensive Kermi is I can’t say yet, as it has only been running for 3 weeks...

I hope I finally get my meters soon so that the photovoltaic system can be connected to the grid...

we are currently deciding whether we should opt for a Weishaupt LS 8 air-water heat pump as a split unit or rather choose a Kermi x-change dynamic ac 8 AW E as a monoblock.

The Kermi is supposed to be more efficient and also able to “intelligently” use solar power, but it has an extra cost of almost 5k. It is certain that I will not recoup the 5k through efficient operation, but maybe the maintenance costs are lower, the air-water heat pump is quieter, etc.

What would you tend to choose and why? What do you think are the pros/cons of the two devices?

Are you satisfied with the systems after about 6 years? My heating engineer recommended a ventilation system from Kermi. I tend to go for Zehnder myself. I would appreciate feedback.
