I am currently looking for a lounge chair for the garden. I often come across chairs with a wooden frame and synthetic rattan weaving. Can you just leave such a chair outside? I would like "permanent" chairs (except in autumn/winter) and do not want to have to put the chairs away every time it rains.

Maybe you have a tip for a comfortable chair? I find the Sixties Lounge Chair from Fermob nice. Not so nice is the price of 330 euros.

The Fermob items are weatherproof. In case of a storm, you must secure them.

I googled it once. 3 years warranty and the note that it is suitable for the living room in winter, I assume that it is weather-resistant, but like others, it should still preferably be covered or brought inside in winter. I don't have a tip. What happened to the kitchen sofa?

We have the model Sunny from Fa. Kettler. The frame is made of aluminum and the backrest etc. is made of straps (Rope fiber). Had the set outside in winter, no problem. Sun doesn’t affect it either. Price-wise you are looking at around 300,- Euros per lounge chair.

Apparently, I have to get used to the prices for garden furniture. I think it's a lot of money for a chair.

The kitchen sofa is almost ordered. My decision is final. But the company definitely wants to send me fabric samples first. They did that, unfortunately the wrong ones. So, everything again. The fabrics come from England and take weeks to reach me. Well, good things take time. But then I'll order and eventually the kitchen sofa will arrive. :) And then I'll show you photos. Promise!

Aluminum furniture is weatherproof - we have had the same Kettler loungers for almost 20 years; now the plastic armrests are slowly becoming rough and brittle - so it could be that we will need replacements in the next few years.
