We are planning a root cellar for vegetables, potatoes, and so on

I have absolutely no idea how to get "there" to do something like that.

This actually came about while chatting and having a beer with the neighbors.. The basic structure "Pumpenkeller" was already there. And before the old cellar totally decayed, the idea of an "Erdkeller" was born :)
