I can confirm what has been written so far. That is what I was told as well.

At first, I also thought "that sounds wonderful, supporting the heating, especially in winter when you light your fireplace more often. But the cost-effort/cleaning is clearly not cost-effective."

What should also be considered when choosing the fireplace is that it is not too strong (especially in modern / well-insulated houses with underfloor heating, etc.). But as has been written here several times, every element (heat pump and also the stove) should be well matched to the (energy) needs of the house.

just as an idea, at just below zero I have at least 19 degrees in every room of my 300m² house when the stove is blazing in the living room. even after two weeks. condition: in the [wz] it is then 26 degrees... the rest is regulated by the [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung mit Wärmerückgewinnung]

actually, it was a pleasant warmth. guests were also amazed when they saw on the thermometer that it was 26 degrees and yes, way too warm. until then, they found it pleasant...

Yes, that may of course be. What kind of stove do you have in what kind of house? Water-based? How much storage mass?
