hello!
i'm new here, have been reading along for a while,
and have already gotten enough good ideas from the forum,
but now i do need your help:

house plan almost finished,
planned is 2x 80sqm with exposed roof truss

i would quite like a 20 degree gable roof,
but if i calculate it like that, i would get a room height of about 4.4m in the middle (where there is a short corridor)

does that look weird?
especially do the doors look lost there?

the other rooms that would be that high,
would be the bathroom (15sqm) and 1 kid's room (15sqm)
all other rooms probably wouldn't be so bothered

i've searched online for a long time, but found hardly any photos.

could you possibly show me photos of your exposed roof trusses?

a big THANK YOU to the community
markus

That doesn’t look silly at all, on the contrary.

And you can install a sleep gallery when the child is a bit older...

What prevents you from making the decision for or against open roof soffits per room and installing a suspended ceiling in the hallway?

Have a look at it in show homes. I wouldn’t generally say that it looks bad, nor that it looks good. In my opinion, it always depends on the other dimensions.

It's a matter of taste and one should look at a furnished property beforehand. In my personal opinion, an exposed roof truss in the hallway is quite nice. If you then have 2.50m of empty wall space above the wardrobe in the bedroom, it looks strange...
