With us, the material costs were virtually the same. However, in my opinion, you can't just do the gluing yourself and then you have to pay for the labor. The click variant, on the other hand, can be laid quite easily as a DIY job. Labor was about 22 euros per m² including baseboards.

If you have it done, it wasn't much of a difference for us. The adhesive vinyl was €5 per sqm cheaper than the click variant. For installation, we paid €10 net per sqm (both variants the same), but for the adhesive vinyl, we paid €5 per sqm for the additional floor construction (height compensation due to tiles).

Glue vinyl was cheaper for us. Material 20 euros more expensive and installation 25 euros cheaper. However, a few euros were added for the screed height increase.

We are currently in the process of ordering designer or bio floors. The question of what is more sensible, gluing or clicking, naturally comes up again and again.

The new floors, for example from Wineo, have a thickness of 9mm and accordingly integrate the sound insulation.

I can hardly understand how a 1mm thick glued layer can seem higher quality than a 9mm floor with the corresponding HDF layer, etc. pp.

Can someone help me with this, by the way we don’t have underfloor heating!

What are Bio floors? The thickness of the vinyl floors we compared was consistently 5-6mm, whether glued or clicked.

The only relevant thing is the thickness of the wear layer. The rest is the substrate with the click system and insulation. You do not need either with the glued one.
