Hello,

I have received the execution drawings from our house construction company and noticed that some measurements differ from the architect’s drawings. Mostly, the measurements are a few centimeters smaller. Is this normal, or should I insist that the measurements from the architect’s drawing be used?

Kind regards
Jochen

Good morning Jochen,

before I would insist on something, I would first question why this is the case.
Maybe there is a good reason :)

Maybe plaster, different stone widths? Yes, you should at least clarify why - so that no further problems arise in the end... true to the saying "but now the staircase no longer fits in here."

And especially look at the areas [in brackets] and have them clarified where you definitely need certain wall widths, etc., because you have already made a furnishing plan based on this. And then also record the values in writing for these areas.

I plan to mark the corresponding dimensions and add the measurements from the architect's drawing with a request for clarification. Then we will see what reaction comes. My initial intention with my question was to find out whether this happens often.

Whenever communication and knowledge management do not fit. Preferably when sales is completely separated from service delivery.
