The reason why many construction companies prefer this is the time factor. It just goes faster. And time is a huge issue for many construction companies right now. I don’t want to rule out that some might just keep calculating until the cast-in-place basement becomes more expensive. Of course, there are also critics of precast elements for basements, especially e.g. with execution as [weiße Wanne]. But there are just as many who argue that with proper execution that is a nursery tale. But it’s pretty cool. The element walls are just baby soft.
