Hello.

First of all, a big compliment to this forum, this is exactly what I have been looking for.
I assume that I will bother you with questions more often in the future!

Question1:
I have the opportunity to buy a part of a 1500sqm property from a relative!
The property is to be divided, i.e. I will get about 750sqm.
How does the surveying work, is there a way to do it myself but still secure everything contractually, or is a surveying office absolutely necessary?

Question2:
I think this is more of a question that is very hard to answer!
On the property there is an old bungalow (Party Bungalow B55) from Honecker’s times!
This bungalow makes a good impression at first glance, but as far as I know, it was built extensively with asbestos. It has been empty for about 10-15 years. Nothing is insulated or similar, purely a summer house.
Maybe someone who knows about this can tell me what such a bungalow is worth approximately, if it even has any value at all.
Unfortunately, you can hardly find anything about it on Google.

The bungalow is supposed to be completely torn down and a new house built on it, but since my relative definitely still wants something for it, it would be good to know what one could still expect to get for it.

Thanks in advance.

1: Surveying that performs a subdivision is absolutely necessary, as a notarized land register transfer of the subdivided plot to your name is otherwise not possible.

2: A valuation without details and pictures is actually not possible, but if these parts are made of "cardboard" and not solid, with hardly any fittings and have been empty for several years, I would say 0€. Additionally, one must consider that a demolition with a lot of asbestos is not that easy and inexpensive.

I agree with Blurboy. The disposal of asbestos is very costly. If you plan to demolish the hut yourself, always remember that asbestos may only be transported if it is packed in bags. Information from [Müllentsorger].

Regarding 2.) Asbestos costs 125 €/ton. A corrugated asbestos cement sheet (6 corrugation peaks, 1.2m x 2.25m) weighs approximately 36 kg. Disposal is not that expensive. About 25 sheets fit into a sheet big pack, the pack costs 5 €.

The expensive part is also the dismantling and transportation costs, as they are not allowed to be carried out privately in some areas! In addition, the disposal costs for asbestos also vary with each provider!

not true!! Asbestos is recycled according to the waste disposal law. it costs the same everywhere at the state level, anyone who says otherwise is dealing with unreliable companies. best to rent a small truck and drive to the landfill yourself. anyone can dismantle the panels themselves as long as they do not cut, that should not be a problem...
