I would install a new layer of split, if possible. If it is about 6cm thick, you have enough thickness to compensate for the different stones and slabs. If a stone is deeper, you can make a depression with the paving hammer so that it does not stand higher later. I think the project is great and would give it a try. Best regards

Can't the stones simply be sawed to the same thickness with a saw?

Hello, I totally agree with Yvonne here. You can do that, but it is very tedious and the risk of accidents for others is high. Here in the old house we also have partly pieced-together pavement, as the surfaces are of different ages (house from 1956); but only in the garden and on the terrace. In the new house, we are having it done... I still wish you good success, because the pattern definitely has something :)

Hello

I'll say it straight: that's not going to happen. I wouldn't put myself through something like that. If you want to get tiles for little money, take a look at [2. Wahl]. I got a dozen pallets for little money (about 10 euros per m²) and disposed of the few damaged ones. If you really want to try, I see only one chance, laying them in lean concrete.

For 10 €/m2 you can already get new ones.
