With us, the ceiling rests on the ring beam. If the ceiling joists are at the height of the ring beam, it can't be continuous. Or am I thinking about this incorrectly now? Can you upload a picture of it?

Hello,

it is not very clearly visible, and my statement was not entirely correct, as I realized this afternoon. The ring beam is set about 10 cm lower than the ceiling joists and simultaneously forms the lintel.

What can be seen: The ring beam on the exterior walls is higher than on the interior walls. At the back, the ridge beam rests on the outer ring beam. In the middle, the ceiling joists rest on the inner beam. The outer one is as much higher as the ceiling joists are tall.

Unfortunately, I do not have a better photo at hand right now.
