Hello, I would like to equip our underfloor heating system with actuators and radio receivers so that the temperature in the rooms can be controlled accordingly with radio room thermostats. First, a very basic question: would the heating circuit distributor also need to be equipped with flow meters for this? The existing one does not have these meters so far. A second question: when replacing the actuators, can the old ones simply be removed and the new ones screwed on, or will water leak out during this? Thanks and best regards Ashley

Here is another photo of the current actuator

You don't regulate underfloor heating, but set it properly. After that, you could unscrew the thermostats. Everything else is (financial) nonsense.

That is basically correct, but only if the other parameters are right.

There are many types of underfloor heating and also many types of heat sources for them. Therefore, control regulation may be necessary and sensible. For example, in existing buildings with relatively high heat losses. Or with fast-responding underfloor heating systems.

I see it the same way. Does anyone possibly have a tip for me?

Without further details about what kind of underfloor heating it is, there is not much to say. But normally, any type of thermostat control is counterproductive with underfloor heating.
