Underfloor heating and carpet

Hello,

we are considering whether to lay a carpet in the bedroom. It is simply more comfortable when you are barefoot. Does anyone have experience with the efficiency of underfloor heating? Does the carpet act as insulation or does it let the heat pass through fully?

did you want to cover the entire room? Wouldn't it work with smaller carpets, runners, or even faux furs?

I am not in favor of reviving old threads if no one is interested in them. But here is a question for @knalle, why do you come up with such an idea to make this statement. Most carpets are designed for underfloor heating!

I don't find the topic all that uninteresting ... contrary to the opinion expressed here several times that wall-to-wall carpets are not suitable for underfloor heating, you can find a huge selection of carpets suitable for underfloor heating both online and in specialized stores. So why shouldn't it work???
