Hello,
I am looking for a way (or ideas) to sort out a large quantity of stones from a former natural stone wall and transport them up a slope over about 10-15m without wearing myself out. The natural stones are in all sizes (5kg up to estimated over 50kg) and are the remains of an approximately 100-year-old natural stone wall. These stones are now all in a pile (where the parking spaces were supposed to be) and need to be removed soon. I have enough space above (about 3m higher, 10m away), but neither a truck nor an excavator can get there. Loading everything by hand into wheelbarrows and pushing it up there (around the house) is probably not practical. I have already considered a "ropeway" with a pulley system... and various other things... but I have no experience if it works and is SAFE enough. I would have space both below and above the stone pile, but no proper anchoring possibility for a "carrying cable." So at most with a pallet/cage basket or 1000l water container (on a pallet) as anchoring weight. If it were only a vertical transport, then a used construction hoist would probably be quite good. But I also have to cover the 10m distance. Please write all ideas (preferably already implemented by yourself). Maybe there is something simple and I just haven't thought of it yet. I can take pictures in the next few days if needed. Thanks in advance! Regards Sinclair
