: The suggestion to transfer even came from Debeka itself, as it was said that this could save costs. Not a huge amount, but still a bit.

Not a huge amount but a little bit... I would have already dropped out there. Especially since house transfers, old documents, etc. are always an issue

Well, I was not aware that this posed such a problem, especially since we had discussed it with the consultant and he had even suggested it. The cleanest solution would of course be the deletion and a new entry...

You are not giving power of attorney, only providing an account number. The mortgage belongs to you. Where is the problem? You are doing that properly. There is no problem. There is no difference between the two options. Only the price differs.

Well, I would then provide my father's account number above, through which the loan was originally processed, and below I would give Debeka authorization to obtain information about the loan amount, handling, etc. And I had nothing to do with the handling at that time; it was all done through my father. Hence my difficulties in understanding that I am providing data and granting authorizations here about something I had nothing to do with. Or what information does Debeka want to obtain with the authorization?!?

Just don't overthink it. It's a standard form. Just fill it out, feel free to cross out what bothers you, and send it back. Don't make life harder for yourself.
