I’ve only seen that with some neighbors who all did the paving work completely at the end. So I assumed that it’s supposed to be that way ‍♂️ I’m grateful for any tips/suggestions

By "space" I meant how the general access to the building plot is, without affecting the trades.

With us, they could have easily parked in the vicinity if we had wanted to do paving.

Well, what does "damaged" mean? Heavy equipment should definitely be able to get through.. but that's usually not needed for the interior construction anyway.

We have now covered the path to the house with OSB boards and placed the obligatory euro pallet in front of the door.... We really could have done that much earlier.

We want to build a dry stone wall around the house, and when we had time, unfortunately the house was still standing, made of the rubble stones we wanted to use for the wall.

And now we still have so much to do inside that the euro pallet and the OSB will probably still see the winter :-(

I always wonder about it too, why it’s handled that way in most cases. Sometimes I have the feeling that for many, the house construction is finished with the house itself, and the outdoor areas are not even on their radar.

I understand, thanks!

They could have easily parked nearby if we wanted to do paving.

I assume the shell will be finished around mid-September including the roof, brickwork / windows by the end of September.
Would you basically take care of the outdoor facilities then?

I know some who did it late as well - because they were waiting for the road to be completed. We had it done quite early because we were also fed up with the dirt. Afterwards, the others were jealous of us... and the connection to the road was done well by them (the road builders) - our curb came out, and one from the road too - but it wasn't a big deal, I was able to use those things elsewhere. One should maybe save a few paving stones in case one breaks during such an action.

Do you want to do it yourself or have it done?
Yourself: yes, of course, look for and order the suitable stones if you have space to store them
Have it done: yes, of course, if you don’t have a company yet, it probably won’t work at such short notice anyway

So definitely, so that when the muddy weather starts, the mess in front of the house is smaller.
