The invoice won't help you unless you feel like going to court. I hardly believe he will change that, even in case of damage...

If you don't have underfloor heating, it could even work. In the south, tiles are often laid like that without problems ([Croatia, Italy]..)

Forget about the posts with hyperventilation, which are also legally untenable, e.g. zaba and associates.

Firstly, no right to rectification without defect or damage, especially if the installation was requested that way.

And secondly, installation with tight joints is common elsewhere. It is a matter of temperature fluctuations. Whether that is really worth discussing indoors in our latitudes... well. It hardly gets any more constant.

The DIN for tile laying work is outdated. The tolerances mentioned there are laughable.

Either it works well or it doesn't.

But you wanted it that way too

Most want it that way... the tiler knows that too: he does, you take it. Period. Job done: minimal joint.

Presumably based on the naive calculation: if dirt accumulates in joints, then in small or almost no joints almost none accumulates. Pretty stupid, you might as well stop the clock to save time.

"Not seamless, but with especially little joint" is a particularly awkward combination: relatively speaking over the short intermediate distance, every micrometer of height difference between the abutting edges becomes a mountain range where the eye and dirt cling even more.

That aside from the general "wisdom" of large-format non-elastic panels.

Well, I'm having a hard time. You ordered it that way, he mixed it ... it would be like ordering my car without tires and it being delivered that way.
