Thermostat control knob is broken, can I still get a replacement?

I just destroyed my bathroom heater... I think. The thermostat control knob (is that what it's called?) is broken off and now leaves a heater running at the minimum level (in beautiful weather) that cannot be turned off anymore. I imagine that these controllers can be bought as replacements, but our heaters are a bit older. The control knob says "Heimeier" on it, does that mean I have to look for this company as well?

I assume that only the rotary knob broke off and not the valve on the radiator? Although, if that had broken, you would have definitely noticed! ;) Normally, the rest of the thermostat knob can be completely removed by loosening a small screw, and then a new one should simply be put on. I'm speaking from experience here—our daughter has already broken several of these knobs with her acrobatics at our place. :rolleyes:
