Hello, we had our house renovated according to the KfW efficiency house status and have to prove a blower door test with a maximum value of 3 for the final certificate. During the test, we had a value of 10!! All the leaks were on the roof. The roofer sent his people: the roofing membrane was almost completely not glued. They fixed this defect (allegedly). The next test was scheduled - the result was still 5. The roofer was present at the test, and the remaining leaks were inspected carefully. However, the drywall installed on the 1st floor must be partially removed for this. The roofer agrees to carry out the roofing work, but the costs of the drywall work are the responsibility of the drywall installer. Because according to VOB, as the subsequent trade, he should have pointed out to the roofer the improper execution of his work before installing the drywall. According to the Chamber of Crafts (arbitration board) – as is also my opinion – the drywall installer is not the inspection authority for the roofer’s work. The roofer has not yet sent the relevant VOB excerpts (allegedly he emailed them, but, strangely, they have not arrived here). Can someone tell me something about this? My opinion is: the roofer must properly rectify his work and also bear the follow-up costs for removing the drywall including reinstalling the drywall including wallpapering.
