Is this a solid wood floor and lacquered?

Best regards

Against the light, almost everything looks somehow lousy. There are just tolerances. We have tiles where the vacuum cleaner gets caught slightly. Everything is within the tolerances (looked up the DIN myself).

That is the thing with tolerances, but whether you have to tolerate everything is another matter.

Hello, here is an update: Today we measured again, the recess is about 4-5 mm at the deepest point. I don't know how much tolerance is allowed here, but that seems a bit too much to me...

: It is a multilayer parquet, oak on top and a carrier layer of softwood underneath

I am somewhat surprised by the cause of this dent. Normally, engineered wood flooring is fully installed and not sanded afterward. Only solid wood flooring is sanded and oiled or lacquered after installation. An engineered wood floor usually has a wear layer of 4-6mm, but you cannot repair a dent of 4-5mm with that. Is the floor made of individual strips that have been fully glued down? In my opinion, this dent is too large to be accepted; you notice it all the time, especially when you are aware of it, you always look there.

Best regards
Sabine

What does the site manager say, since the recess is not <1 mm, but clearly more? At least he’s not good at estimating by eye.
