Dear forum,

I don't know if I'm in the right place, but it's about our heating. Especially now in these very cold days, we notice that the heating never gets really warm. We have an oil heating system in the basement with a large tank in the garden. The technicians always say that everything is fine. We have also bled the radiators ourselves several times. Can we have an expert come over? But who ends up paying for it? Thanks for your answers.

When we had that too, our heating technician said we should simply bleed the radiators? Didn't know at first what he meant, but I looked it up on the internet and found something suitable, and it worked.

Yes, Angeliga wrote something correct, but you can't just bleed the radiator, there is also the possibility that this can be done directly in the basement at the oil heating system, for example. However, you have to refill water into the heating system again; I do that once a year and always have it nice and warm.

I know the problem too. Often bleeding the radiators helps, and that often brings success. I also like henry’s tip and I will remember it. It’s really annoying when it’s cold outside and the apartment doesn’t get warm.

Regularly bleed the radiators and that is often sufficient. However, if they remain cold, the water column is too low. Then water must be refilled.

That is indeed a problem when the heating doesn't get properly warm. I just had that during the transitional period. At our place, a valve was stuck and I managed to fix it myself.
