And yes: we still have this hook... still, showering without glasses and contact lenses is already an ordeal. We deal less with the tiled rail than with the plastic brackets that are supposed to hold this rail. We have 6 of them, half stay stuck on the rail, the others then float down the drain... And then try to make that nice again - while showering of course :mad:

Hm - well, I’m not aware of any such problems. I think my wife would have complained about it by now. The first time, she mentioned that the drain was pretty dirty - but that was because after all the work, a thorough cleaning for the handover was done over the drain.
However, we have NEVER cleaned the shower/drain while showering.

I have to take a look at the bracket tonight.

Hmm, strange... We don’t have any brackets at all. We just put ours in like that and that’s it... Interesting... But I also have to clear the drain of my long hair once a week. :)

Hm - I checked at our place (see photo). Our holders are made of metal and connected to the insert.
I also asked my wife about cleaning. She said she has to take out the rail every two weeks but there isn’t a huge amount of hair in it. We struggle more with sand/dirt in the drain - from the kids and gardening ;).

P.S. Normally my husband does that :rolleyes: I only do it when it suddenly gets clogged while showering... :D

We have exactly the same channel. We don’t have a strainer in there either. You just have to pull the hair out of the siphon from time to time, which isn’t a pleasant task but okay with gloves. Better than a strainer that you have to empty every 3 days.

With that stuff you can get almost everything away. Unfortunately, it also attacks (cement) joints, so handle it carefully.
