Today the answer came. The rotary knob was accidentally mounted on the wrong end of the locking cylinder (allegedly at the factory?!) and therefore installed upside down. A new locking cylinder will be ordered and then the installers will come by again.

This happens when Inside/Outside is swapped during ordering. In other words, someone measured incorrectly or wrote it down wrong.

"DIN" left or right is seen from the hinge side. Unfortunately, I also know this from orders that were handled by supposed experts.
